About me – Hi, I’m Saundra Gunston and I’m a full time Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator living in Aurora, Ontario. I’ve been a crafter all my life and a mom for many years. Now that my little ones are in school I’m crafting balance between family time and creative expression. Through this blog I get to share my love of stamping, card making and scrapbooking with others who are crafting balance in their lives too. I’m one of those people who love what they do and get to share what they love. And I love stamping! I’m here to be your creative coach – sharing fun project ideas and special offers about fantastic rubber stamping products. I look forward to helping you unleash your creativity!

My Stampin’ Up! story – I discovered Stampin’ Up! in the Fall of 2015, surfing the internet feeling a bit sentimental now that my youngest started school and both children are off on their own adventures. I had been entertaining the idea of starting a blog and selling handmade crafts online and at local vendor markets. I wanted a creative outlet for my “geeky computer” side and my “crafty maker” side. I knew I needed to invest in some quality tools and decided that the Stampin’ Up! demonstrator discount would help me start. While researching the company and signing up as an Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator I fell in love with their Statement of the Heart. That was just the beginning of my Crafting Balance journey!

Stampin’ Up! Statement of the Heart

To love what we do and share what we love, as we help others enjoy creativity and worthwhile accomplishments… in this we make a difference! – Statement of the Heart, Stampin’ Up!

My commitment to you – My Crafting Balance blog and Canadian Stampin’ Up! business are dedicated to sharing opportunities for creativity. I offer you myself and all that I know and will know about the art of stamping, card making, paper crafting gifts, home decor and scrapbooking. I’m committed to excellent customer service and making the on-line shopping experience personalized. Together we can make a difference one handmade item from the heart at a time!

Your Crafting Balance Community – I’m fortunate to be a member of the Inky Divas, a friendly group of hobby and business demonstrators from across Canada. I offer the same opportunity for others to join my Crafting Balance Team – Aurora Borealis Crafters. As part of the Stampin’ Up! family, members enjoy many demonstrator discounts and benefits too. Join by purchasing the Stampin’ Up! Canada Starter Kit and start your Crafting Balance journey too.

Interests – When I’m not playing with paper, stamps and ink in my Crafting Balance Studio, I love to read. As a member of a local ladies book club we read everything from fiction (Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty) to finance (Cold Hard Truth on Family, Kids and Money by Kevin O’Leary). Besides walking the kids to and from school, I also get a wiggle on using my fitbit to achieve daily and weekly challenges. I aspire to healthy cooking and clean eating… but sometimes a glass of wine or a piece of dark chocolate is a treat at the end of the day. I love to travel with my family and my goal is to earn an incentive trip from Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator reward.

Accomplishments – I’m a project manager, intranet developer and adult educator but my biggest accomplishment to date is that of wife and mother of two. As a volunteer musician with both a community and a military band I had the pleasure of working as part of a creative team of men and women. Tool safety and hard work were DIY skills I learned as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Toronto and York Region.
