About me – I’ve been a crafter all my life and a mom for many years. Now that my little ones are in school I’m crafting balance between family time and creative expression. Through this blog I get to share my love of stamping, card making and scrapbooking with others who are crafting balance in their lives too. I’m one of those people who love what they do and get to share what they love. And I love stamping! I’m here to be your creative coach – sharing fun project ideas and special offers about fantastic rubber stamping products. I look forward to helping you unleash your creativity!
My story – I was surfing the Internet one day in 2015, feeling a bit sentimental now that my youngest started school and both kids were off on their own adventures. I had been entertaining the idea of starting a blog and selling handmade crafts online and at local vendor markets. I wanted a creative outlet for my “geeky computer” side and my “crafty maker” side. That was just the beginning of my Crafting Balance journey!
My commitment to you – I’m dedicated to sharing opportunities for creativity. I offer you myself and all that I know and will know about the art of stamping, card making, paper crafting gifts, home decor and scrapbooking. I’m committed to excellent customer service and making the on-line shopping experience personalized. Together we can make a difference one handmade item from the heart at a time!
Interests – When I’m not playing with paper, stamps and ink in my Crafting Balance Studio, I love to read. As a member of a local ladies book club we read everything from fiction (Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty) to finance (Cold Hard Truth on Family, Kids and Money by Kevin O’Leary). Besides walking the kids to and from school, I also get a wiggle on using my fitbit to achieve daily and weekly challenges. I aspire to healthy cooking and clean eating… but sometimes a glass of wine or a piece of dark chocolate is a treat at the end of the day. I love to travel with my family and my goal is to earn an incentive trip from Stampin’ Up! as a demonstrator reward.
Accomplishments – I’ve been a project manager, intranet developer and adult educator but my biggest accomplishment to date is that of wife and mother of two. As a volunteer musician with both a community and a military band I had the pleasure of working as part of a creative team of men and women. Tool safety and hard work were DIY skills I learned as a volunteer with Habitat for Humanity Toronto and York Region.
